В Семінарії Св. Софії відбулось традиційне свято Різдва в Семінарії

Возвеселімось всі разом нині,

Христос Родився в бідній яскині

21 грудня з 1:00 по 5:00 в Семінарії Св. Софії традиційно відбулось свято Різдва в Семінарії. Це свято, з благословення наших ієрархів, було започатковане декілька років тому, проте тепер вже є щорічним і відомим для всієї Церкви. Основою святкування якраз і є саме Різдво та коляда, тобто прославлення Новонародженого Христа. Люди приїжджають щоб побувати на цьому святі навіть цілими сім’ями. Семінаристи як завжди дають підготовлений концерт колядок та віншувань. В свою чергу усі присутні люди мають також змогу колядувати та зануритись в Різдвяний настрій. Усі присутні мають змогу познайомитись між собою та пізнати блище семінаристів. Оскільки свято Різдво в Семінарії є проектом, то важливим елементом свята є подарунки, які люди приносять разом з собою для семінарії, та зокрема для семінаристів. Ці подарунки сприяють та допомагають подальшому навчанню та проживанню семінаристам Семінарії Св. Софії.

Чимало людей прибуло щоб відсвяткувати й цього року. З різних міст та навіть штатів Америки люди приїхали щоб взяти участь у святі. Семінаристи разом з адміністрацією семінарії радо прийняли гостей та порадували не лише чудовими колядками але й смачною перекускою. На святі також був присутній Високопреосвященніший Архиєпіскоп Даниїл. В свою чергу він розповів цікаву історії про саму семінарію та про важливість самого свята, та подякував усім, хто щедро відгукнувся різдвяними подарунками для семінарії. Адже й справді, практично весь перший поверх будинку був закладений подарунками, які обов’язково пригодяться для вжитку семінарії.

Усі залишились з чудовими емоціями та настроєм. Щиро дякуємо Архиєпископу Даниїлу за його присутність, усім гостям цього свята за бажання побувати на святі та порадувати семінарії своїми подарунками, адміністрації семінарії за підготовку та проведення свята, а також семінаристам за чудову коляду яка звучала того дня.

Christ is Born

On December 21, from 1:00pm to 5:00pm, the Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary of St. Sophia traditionally held a Christmas in the Seminary celebration. This celebration, with the blessing of our hierarchs, was started several years ago, but now it is an annual and well-known event for the entire Church. The very basis of celebration is the Nativity of our Lord itself and caroling, that is, the glorification of the Newborn Christ. People come to be part of this event even with whole families. The seminarians always present to the people a concert of carols and Christmas poems-wishes. On the other hand, people can also enjoy caroling on their own and have a opportunity to dive into the Christmas mood. All guests have a great chance to meet each other and get to know the seminarians closer. Since the Christmas in the Seminary is a project, an important part of the this event is the giving gifts that people bring with them for the seminary, and in particular for the seminarians. These gifts support and assist seminarians in their further education and living in St. Sophia's Seminary.

Many people came to celebrate this year as well. From different cities and even different states of America, people came to be part of the holiday. The seminarians, along with the administration of the seminary, welcomed the guests and pleased them not only with the wonderful carols but also with a delicious snacks. His Eminence Archbishop Daniel was also present at the celebration. He told an interesting story about the seminary itself and the importance of the holiday itself, and thanked everyone who generously responded with Christmas gifts for the seminary. Indeed, the entire first floor of the house was packed with gifts that will certainly be useful for the seminary.

Everyone was left with great emotions and mood. We sincerely thank Archbishop Daniel for his presence, all the guests of this holiday for their desire to attend the holiday and present the seminary with their presents, the administration of the seminary for the preparation and holding of the event, as well as the seminarians for the wonderful Christmas carols that sounded that day.
